Not too bad considering all the large ticket items I bought meat, diapers, lots of produce, and diet pepsi (of course I can't go without that).  Those items are about half of my total bill, but we needed them.  In the end I spent $88.63 and saved $77.58.  The best part is I am not going back to the store until 5/7 except to buy some more Powerade.  I have a few more B1G1 coupons to use and they were limited on flavors tonight so I am hoping they will have some more towards the end of the week or at another store.

Just a tip these are on sale with the Yellow Advantage Flyer 2/$4 until May 6.  My Publix allows me to use a Publix and Target coupon.  Not all stores will because they recognize the Target coupon as a store coupon.  My store is more liberal with this policy.  Check with your store if you are unsure.

Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole

Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 sleeve buttery round crackers (such as Ritz), crushed

1 TB poppy seeds, or more if desired

1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp garlic salt

2 tsp onion powder

1. Place chicken in pot and cover with water.  Boil about 20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.  Drain and shred chicken.  Add paprika, garlic salt, and onion powder to shredded chicken and mix well.
2. Preheat oven to 350.  Combine crackers, butter, and poppy seeds in small bowl then set aside.
3. Blend sour cream and soup in another bowl.  Pour half the soup mixture in a 9x9 baking dish. Add shredded chicken.  Next, place the rest of the soup mixture over chicken and then add cheese on top of soup mixture.  Top with the cracker mixture.
4. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.

Also there is a program from Kraft which sends coupons to receive new products free.  I love these and have received free Jell-O Temptations, Kraft Cheese with Philadelphia, Philadelphia Cooking Cream, and also coupons for Planters to help Kraft Fight Hunger.  In return they want you to provide feedback on their products.  Usually the surveys are approximately 4-5 questions.  They take no time at all.  There are also polls and an area to provide comments.  The program is called Kraft First Taste and they can be found HERE.

One last deal is for Zantac 150.  I love sample sizes because they are so portable and don't clutter up my purse.  The link to request your free sample can be found HERE.

I had a $5/$25 Family Dollar Coupon that I forgot to give the cashier, but I plan to go back on Saturday to pick a couple of items from the new yellow advantage flier that is coming out and some wine that is BOGO so I will use it then.  My total today was $81.47 and I saved $114.90.  That is a 59% savings today and brings my yearly total spent to $1,314.41 and a total savings of $1,522.88 so far this year!

1 Package Whole Wheat Rotini $0.40

• Combine first 10 ingredients in plastic storage bag
• Cut chicken into thin strips
• Place chicken in marinade and put in fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight if possible
• Add chicken, diced tomatoes, and marinade to a skillet and cook over medium heat until chicken is fully cooked
• While chicken is cooking bring a large pot of water to a boil for pasta and cook pasta until done
• Combine cooked  pasta, chicken, and marinade and heat through
• Top with Parmesan Cheese or Mozzarella

I served mine with Parmesan Cheese (free), a package of steamed snap peas ($0.70), and crescent rolls ($0.75)

That is an entire meal for $6.83 or $1.14 per serving!
