June Shopping

I finally got to the store and finished my shopping for the month.  We decided to go to Trader Joe's which means we bought more than what was on the list.  I love that store and I can't complain because the kids picked out some good snacks (they have the best selection of dried fruit and nuts!).

Now all that is left to buy is produce for the month so we should be good to go :)  I am hoping to get the majority of my remaining produce from either the farmers market or from local farms.  That should save me a good amount off from my grocery bill.

2 lbs Organic Granny Smith Apples

Total Spent: $154.61

Not too bad considering all the meat I bought.  I must admit though I can't wait to move and start buying local grass fed beef and free range chickens directly from the farmer.  It will be so much cheaper without sacrificing taste (if anything it tastes better!) or our health!

  1. This is just wonderful. I'm so inspired. I was in trader joe's yesterday and walked out wondering what half the stuff was that I bought. I just can't resist the edamame hummus and mild salsa - even though I didn't really need it. I do love TJ's and can sometimes find things cheaper there than the grocery store (and better for you - as you mention as a focus!).

    Happy seeing beautiful!

    1. Thank you! I am glad I was able to inspire you :) I love Trader Joe's, but we literally moved a few days ago and now they are 45 minutes away :( But I have a feeling I will still make stops there when I am on that side of town. Hope you have a wonderful week!
