Barbecue Beef Sandwiches
3-4 lbs beef roast (I used an arm roast because it was on sale), season with salt and pepper
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 TBS minced garlic
14 oz beef broth
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 TBS steak sauce
1 tsp black pepper
1 TBS worcestershire sauce
- Brown seasoned roast on all side
- In a small bowl mix together all the remaining ingredients
- Pour half of the mixture in the crock pot
- Place beef in crock pot and pour remaining sauce over beef
- Cook low 8-10 hours
- Remove beef from slow cooker and shred
- Place beef back in slow cooker and mix with juices
- Serve on buns and ENJOY!
This is one of those recipes that takes little effort and the beef just melts in your mouth. It's so simple and filling. It's a great recipe that uses ingredients that most people already have on hand. I don't know about you, but I love when there are minimal items I have to add to my grocery cart :)
Below is the nutritional value per serving (without bun). This recipe yields approximately 12 servings.
