I still plan to continue with my budget and making our own products. My next thing is to take on bread and baking. Did I mention that me and baking are not a very good combination? This could definitely be interesting, but I am determined to succeed at baking more than cookies and boxed mixes :)

The total spent today was $85.40 and that brings my monthly spending is now $289.85. I know I will be going over budget again, but I am alright with it because I will be incredibly close to hitting my budget. I only have a few things to pick up for the rest of the month and it is mainly produce. Here is what I still need to buy:
And just for a reminder here is my meal plan for the month. You will notice I changed it a little bit ;)
Lots of good stuff planned and I can't wait to make some of these meals. Come back and check for the great recipes and what we thought of them!
Make sure you find My Road to Savings on facebook, twitter, and now Google+ so you don't miss any great tips and updates!
I am actually considering doing a lot of baking this afternoon. Rye bread and banana bread is what's on the menu I think...
ReplyDeleteYou did great!
Thank you for linking up your savings at the weekly Savings Linky @ Frugality Is Free.
I ended up making a banana cake from scratch last night at 10 pm :) So far it looks good. I just have to frost it and taste it. I am getting braver with baking, but still reluctant. I've had some crazy things happen in that oven...lol Bread has been my major enemy in the past so we will see how it goes ;)

DeleteThanks for Sharing your savings!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's school is always asking for items for the school parties, items that I don't have in my stockpile, so I have to make a special purchase just for them. I wish I could just donate something I already had. So I know how you feel about the marshmallows.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with Wednesday Weekly Shopping at Frugal Follies! Have a great week!
I won't complain too much. It is really my fault. My daughter and I browsed Pinterest together and we decided to make S'more Valentine's for her class. At least all I needed to buy was marshmallows and those are pretty cheap ;)
