Hy-Vee Spent $85.40

I went to pick up the rest of my monthly bulk shopping that I did not get this past weekend and am happy that I am still under budget for now ;)  I also picked up some cute heart shaped marshmallows for my daughters valentines and some snacks for the big game.  Those were added on and I know I probably shouldn't have done that since those probably put me over budget.  I'll just let that be my little treat to myself because all debt is paid off except my student loan (YAY!!!  HAPPY DANCE!!!!).

I still plan to continue with my budget and making our own products.  My next thing is to take on bread and baking.  Did I mention that me and baking are not a very good combination?  This could definitely be interesting, but I am determined to succeed at baking more than cookies and boxed mixes :)

And just for a reminder here is my meal plan for the month.  You will notice I changed it a little bit ;)

Lots of good stuff planned and I can't wait to make some of these meals.  Come back and check for the great recipes and what we thought of them!

  1. I am actually considering doing a lot of baking this afternoon. Rye bread and banana bread is what's on the menu I think...

    You did great!

Thank you for linking up your savings at the weekly Savings Linky @ Frugality Is Free.

    1. I ended up making a banana cake from scratch last night at 10 pm :) So far it looks good. I just have to frost it and taste it. I am getting braver with baking, but still reluctant. I've had some crazy things happen in that Bread has been my major enemy in the past so we will see how it goes ;)

  2. I love the new look! Thanks for sharing your savings at Pounds4Pennies this week. I would love to be included in your Link Parties page. I can send you my button if you would like.

    1. Thank you! Send me your button and I will add it :) I checked and didn't see on that I could grab.

  3. My daughter's school is always asking for items for the school parties, items that I don't have in my stockpile, so I have to make a special purchase just for them. I wish I could just donate something I already had. So I know how you feel about the marshmallows.

Thanks for linking up with Wednesday Weekly Shopping at Frugal Follies!  Have a great week!

    1. I won't complain too much. It is really my fault. My daughter and I browsed Pinterest together and we decided to make S'more Valentine's for her class. At least all I needed to buy was marshmallows and those are pretty cheap ;)

What do you think? I'd love to hear from you!
