Honey Glazed Chicken

Cast Party Wednesday

I like a sweet and sticky chicken.  This recipe is another one that I found over at When the Dinner Bell Rings.  The best part of this Honey Glazed Chicken is that it only has 4 ingredients!  And more than likely you have everything in your cupboard to make it.  I made this one ahead of time as well.  Just pulled it out of the freezer and defrosted in the fridge for about 2 days.  Easy peasy!

Honey Glazed Chicken
1/4 cup melted butter
2 TBS reduced sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
1 lb chicken (I used 2 chicken leg quarters)

  • If you plan on freezing just combine everything and lay flat in the freezer and defrost the night before in the refrigerator and follow baking directions below
  • To prepare place all ingredients in a baking dish, add chicken and toss to coat
  • Place in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake until no longer pink, about 45-60 minutes for chicken pieces and 20-30 minutes for boneless skinless chicken breasts
I can get used to these simple dinners.  Just dump and bake.  How much easier can you get?!?  We served over brown rice with steamed veggies.  Yum!

The nutritional value is per serving.  This recipe yields approximately 4 servings.

  1. did you keep the skin on? or can you do this with boneless, skinless too? I came over from NapTime creations link up, I'm excited to see more of your creations.

    1. I used bone-in chicken quarters with the skin. You could use Boneless Skinless Chicken, but you will want to adjust the cook time. Probably 20-30 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.

There are different ones, but this one works best for me because I can find specific brands for a more accurate analysis :)
