Weekly Meal Plan

Yesterday was such a busy day, but a really good day.  My friend and I took our kids to "touch a truck" where they could climb into and talk with all the different drivers of trucks they see around the city.  Lots of fun!  Of course there was a fire truck, police car, and ambulance.  They also had a street sweeper, tractor, bus, corn combine, school bus, pepsi truck, and much more.  The kids also made out with some goodies.  They got some chalk, crayons, coloring books, pencils, stickers, hats, popcorn, and pop!

Afterwards we decided to help support the high school cheer leaders and lunch from their fundraiser.  $1 for a hot dog, chips, and pop.  Can't beat that.  We had our picnic lunch at the park where the kids played for about 3 hours.  Definitely a good a day.

In all the fun I didn't get my meal plan and grocery list posted.  So once again I am a little late.  We ended up getting Chinese take out yesterday for dinner so tonight we are having manicotti.  No big deal :)

Manicotti - I will serve this with a side of green beans and mixed fruit

Skillet Pork Chop Florentine - Served with a side of broccoli (haha...I see I wrote chicken florentine on the menu...that should be pork chop florentine)

Marinated Pork Chops - pork chops marinated in a soy sauce and honey marinade.  Super yummy!  Stay tuned for the recipe :)

Maple Roasted Chicken Thighs - I will be adding some more seasoning...not sure what yet, but probably oregano or thyme.  I will share when I decide how I am making this one too.

Hot Beef Sandwiches - slow roasted beef sliced, placed on bread, smothered in gravy, and served with mashed potatoes and corn

Baked Chicken Fajitas

The pizza will more than likely be take out.  My husband has been asking for pizza for almost 2 weeks now so I suppose I should let him have some right???  The kids definitely won't complain to have a pizza night ;)

There is the shopping list.  I have all the chicken in the freezer already and I have most of the other items needed for the recipes.  Including my snacks.  Doesn't look like it will be too bad of week this week.  Well since I am running behind I better get moving and head on out to the grocery store...with both kids in tow!   Wish me luck guys!

    1. I'm glad you could find some use out of this :) It really helps to keep me on track. Especially since I prepare all my fruits, veggies, cereals, nuts, etc by measuring them out and having them ready to go. It makes eating healthier more convenient and easier :)
